I purchased quite a bit of what I have. Some of it was from CDs that mates had and I copied. Some of it is from finding someone who has the music on their computer and allowing me to take whatever I wanted. Some of it's torrented because like someone else said, I wasn't about to pay twice for it. Other stuff is from old vinyl, doesn't sound the greatest after being copied.

i could only read about 2 or 3 pages....I've spent alot of cash on music, and still do. Some music is Free (promo), some downloaded, I do hate to admit it...if I cant purchase a track legally, from a legit website I go to the dark side if you know what I mean.

lol @ the "death of music"

music has been around since cavemen starting beating rocks against things... the advent of the 'music industry' is a relatively new thing. The notion of making money from music is also a relatively new thing as well (historically speaking). Music will be around forever, bullshit companies that make a load of money out of artists who don't get paid shit, won't.

Having said that, I usually make a reasonable effort to buy a tune I like from an online mp3 store. If I can't find it within 10 minutes or so, I'll have a look on a torrent site.

I intend to buy all the music I play out at clubs. With that said I must admit that about 5% of the music in my collection is pirated - soley because I can't find it anywhere online or that it's country restricted so that I can't buy it.

Hahahaha, well you're all breaking the law, I think it plainly states on the back of any cd or vinyl that "unauthorised public performance is prohibited", but yeah anyway buy your tunes and don't be a cheap c#*t, pretty much if your getting payed to play you gotta pay to play.
