    Default Help...need budget turntables/mixer

    Hello Hello,

I came to this forum for some sound advice, maybe I'm already asking for much, but whatever the case I'm trying to find a pair of budget turntables and a mixer for straching and matching whilst using some free dj software or the likes of serato....any suggestions???

I'm not trying to be too fancy, I just need something that works fairly well as i go through the basics

    Thx

For free DJ software take a look at Mixxx (www.mixxx.org)

back in the day, the advice was always to spend more on better TTs and get a cheaper mixer

well, the X-Session pro is a great little midi controller that's laid out like a mixer. I used it for a few years and love the heck out of it. I still use it with Ableton. However, if you prefer the more analog feel, Numark has the TTUSB direct drive turntables and the M6 USB 4 channel mixer. Currently on Amazon the mixer runs for $149 and the TTUSB runs for 148.79 so for two of them it would be $297.58. The total would be $446.58 not including tax or shipping.
