    Question Midi Fighter Animations

Hey guys, how do you set it so once you hit a button, the buttons around it will make an animation (like the spark animation)? I saw the video on doing it in MF Utility from DJTT, but it was an old video and I think the firmware changed, so I no longer have that option to do the animation. PLEASE HELP

Hey, that option is located under Animation > Spark in the Midifighter Utility.

    What Midifighter do you use?

I have a Midifighter Twister and I just checked the MFutility, where is the "Animation" dropdown you allude to?

You mentioned you saw it in some video therefor I thought you're referring to MF3D or Spectra because Twister doesn't have that option available in the Utility. This can be reproduced with Traktor mapping if you loop MIDI back in to the software and create the sequence of CC events mapped to different button LED outputs. This way you can even set different colors and apply animation settings.

    Hi,
    Your question is on topic.
Animation settings are part of the MIDI mapping and not the Midifighter Utility itself. Therefor you couldn't find those settings in the Utility software.

Animations are working on a separate MIDI Channel than usual mapping. So to give you example in Traktor, you can Add Out the 'play' set up with LED (OFF=black / midi range min=0 ; ON=green / midi range max=66) and map it to Ch.03.Note.C3 than make a duplicate of this command and assign the same MIDI Note but this time to your next MIDI Channel available Ch.04.Note.C3

So if your base channel is Ch.04 than animations will be sent via Ch.05 and so for it.

All available animation typess and their value ranges are described on the page #5 of the Midifighter 3D User Guide.

Please let me know if you need more help with this. Cheers
