Using the same Laptop for both S4 and S8

I use an S4 at gigs but want to use an S8 at home.

Can one MacBook Pro with the associated Traktor software control both the S4 and S8?

Are there separate settings that can be configured and remain in place for each unit or do settings need to be changed each time I swap Traktor units?

Hope what I'm asking makes sense.

Yes, of course. You can use any number of controllers with a copy of Traktor. I have quite an extensive list in my preferences...
