    or u could use an american audio 14 mxr as midi controller, so u could have, u master out and u monitoring out too, without the need of some expensive 4 channel sound card.

    i would combine, the american audio mixer (as midi controller, with the master out and monitoring out) + a cheap lauchpad like midiplus smartpad (with a custom map made by yourself) + your z1 (with a custom map too, for ex some custom fx mapping)

    this set up have a good potencial for me.

    Update: I ended up getting an insanely good deal on a Reloop RMX-80 and a Zomo MC-1000. I still need to fiddle around with the Zomo to get everything just how I want it, but this is working well so far. Budget allowing though I think I still see myself getting a separate soundcard and another X1 at some point down the line. I miss the easy familiarity and out of the box functionality of the X1 but maybe that will fade as I get more used to the Zomo.
