They claim the sc2900's work with high sierra but their outputs aren't recognized either so you can only use the 2900's as midi controllers.

Considering it's on the list and had another user successfully use it on High Sierra you may want to check if there's some other issue involved :/

Can you point me to the post where that user said that? Is it on the Denon site?

So as you could notice for my previous questions I'm figuring how to set up TS with the DN-X1700, I followed every instruction I found (not too much on this subjet) but for the sake of god I just can't get the DVS signal into Traktor, ("waiting", "calculating") I'm tired, it's late here and I don't know what else to do.

Just took some picks and screenshoots of what I consider relevant in case someone here can do me a favour and check what I'm doing wrong which might be something simple and laughable as always with this matters

    Thanks in advance.

Just a few questions so we can understand the problem better:
1.) You select "calibrate", start the turntable with timecode yet nothing happens - no scope, just "waiting"?
2.) Under mixer's utillity settings, it is also set to 44.1khz (unplug the mixer when changing settings on it) and Denon ASIO drivers shows it is connected?
3.) Are you able to play tracks into the mixer without timecode (load tracks into decks, select internal playback, start them)?

As I said it was going to be something laughable and trivial

Your points made me double-check everything and realize that the USB inputs didn't match the fisical rca analog inputs in the mixer, everything is working like a charm now.

I guess my mistake was setting from Traktor wizard instead of doing everything myself, lazyness not good, you end working even more

    Thank you so much SlayForMoney.

I was going to ask about that in the second post (seemed odd not to have 1/2 for A, 2/3 for B..etc) because I didn't wanted to overload you with things to check and I assumed you had a reason (deck layout etc).

Unfortunately, seems High Sierra is the same as Sierra in CoreAudio support for Denon hardware (only mixers don't work). Bastards at inMusic seems have seen a new OS as a nice way to mislead users to upgrade to new hardware and cut off support for some more D&M Holdings Denon DJ legacy gear.

Off Topic: Let's take a moment to appreciate how far ahead of its time the DNX-1700 was.

yeah, I trusted the setup wizard on that and it assigns A and B to 3-4 and 5-6 by default, that was the problem but as I told you it was late and I was tired

That's only a problem if you are in a hurry to test new OSs...my passion it's music so I'm still on W7..Mountain Lion..Traktor 2.8.1... whatever works for me with the less computing headaches but you are right, all companies play that game now.

I think 1700 owners could push Denon to keep support given it's not a 200 bucks controller...maybe change.org or something? (I'm being part serious part sarcastic now) we could start a thread in denon's forum and point to it they might react to the pressure The windows driver was updated not so long ago (x64)

Right, I always think that I still can do whatever I want with it, it's amazing.
