What do you think of how the Gemini's team is actually managing the different issues you've been pointing out? Do you send them crashlogs? How do you communicate with them?
Sending them logs. They seem to be trying.

The Numark does not have a standalone capability.

Can you get Denon SC2900 near you and at what price?

Yeah I can get one for $400 dollars (new one), and some used one starting at $200. But honestly I really don't like their design, looks a lot like toys

Well the Gemini's ARE toys in comparison. The Denons' are proper pro gear and a real bargain at that price, snap em up!

Unless you more concerned with looks over reliability and functionality ?

    I see what you mean.
    Design, reliability and functionality actually.
But I guess this mix is impossible with low budget.

You can turn off that cheezy blue ring if it makes you feel better

Good information! Didn't know it thanks. Yeah that would definitely remove the flashy feelings they have.

Currently I have a very simple VCI-100Mk2 + iPad + Djay app for putting together playlists and mix practice.

I never really owned too much in the way of club gear, ever except for a set of Vestax Turntables for a short while back in the late 90's. But I had pretty much unlimited access to the best of gear though both my Jobs at the time - one of them was as a DJ gear sales guy.

I know how a CD deck works, not that much has changed in 15 years and If I'm playing somewhere the venue is going to have the gear I need so I just need to bring a USB key along.

Don't have that much time for practice or the space for a full setup anyhow these days - but if I did I'd probably go with XDJ-RX for home use.
