Mixtrack Quad Midi use?

I started mixing witha mixtrack quad a few months ago, i used to produce with FL studio and now use abelton, i want to use my Mixtrack as a midi pad! i can get it to function as a pad, but then audio does not route through it, if the audio route through it then it cant be used as a pad. any help with this? It also keeps crashing Abelton live 9

You need to select it as a Remote Surface AND an Audio Output Device in Lives preferences...
