Default Rekordbox link setup .NEED HELP.

    Hello i've got a pair of XDJ 1000's and a DJM 750.
I don't use flash drives with my players.
Hence, I want to be able to connect this setup and be used with my rekordbox dj soft on my laptop.
I read somewhere that to achieve this, both my players, mixer and laptop need to be hooked to an Ethernet switch.

But unfortunately my djm 750 doesnt support an X:Link feature unlike the djm900.

Can someone help me with a step by step process in connecting my setup so i can use it with rekordbox dj software in HID mode.

There are two ways that you can connect your gear to rekordbox:
    1.) pro dj link
    2.) hid mode

for hid mode you have to pay a licence for rekordbox DJ, for pro dj link the free version of rekordbox is enough.
if you have XDJ1000mk1, in HID mode you won't have the big moving waveforms on the screens of the units, only the mk2 has that feature with HID mode.

I'm willing to pay for the 'not free' stuff.
But in my case and for my setup, which one would be better?

    P.S - I'm using the 1000 mk1's

Page 17 of this might help you out in executing Pro-Link

HID might be easier to setup if you're willing to pay for it. Either should work for basic setups. Are you just trying to do a basic two track setup?

    Yes

I checked page 17 of the PDF. Doesn't seem to explain everything.

Trying the Pro Dj link route.
As for now, ive connected both the xdj 1000 mk1 players to my switch (via lan cable) and connected my laptop to the same switch (via lan)
opened rekordbox in Export mode but cannot see any link icon on screen.
Have turned off firewall as well on my windows system. But STILL cant see the link icon in rekordbox

Update: Pro DJ link feature seems to be working now
Had some issues with my windows settings. Fixed now.
Now need to try HID mode.
