Help with midi fighter playing

Anyone have any tutorials or suggestions on how to have your hands be able to move at two separate paces. I play guitar but its just fine on that because they work at the same pace but when I go to play my midi fighter for some reason my hands sync up and go at the same pace by themselves and they cant work at separate speeds without syncing up to the same pace automatically.

Learn and master drum rudiments. Once you have a handle on the rudiments separating each hand becomes much easier.
