    Default Soundcards!!

    Recently bought a xone 92, and about to pick up 2 cdjs 900 nxs. My question is, what sound card should I buy? And also if im already running Traktor pro on my laptop. Does that mean I have to use a Traktor sound card, or.....can I use a different sound card and still run the same program on my laptop.

    Id appreciate the help from anyone thank you!

    Do you need a soundcard? All of your devices are USB already

    I don't think the xone 92 has USB so he'll be looking at something to output sound from Traktor to mixer I'd presume, the CDJS will essentially just be midi controllers?

    Traktor Scratch is probably overkill it's quite expensive for what you need it to do.

    Traktor Pro works with any sound card, only when you own Traktor Scratch Pro and want to use turntables or CD players to control your music do you need a Traktor certified sound card. If you're going to use the CDJs as controllers then I would just use them as sound cards.

    How does that work then? Does the CDJ900 have an audio interface with an output?

    Yes, all top of the line media players do. Just connect via USB and it shows up as an audio interface. Depending on your operating system you need to aggregate them into one audio interface for use in Traktor.

    If you want to maximise your bang for buck with that 92, get the Audio 10. If you're just A/B'ing with the CDJs, hook them up using Traktor HID.

    I got this guys.

    Alright so you want to use 2 HID supported CDJs with Traktor Pro. That is easy to setup. What you also need to do if you wish not to use a USB sound card is to configure your laptop to use 2 soundcards with Traktor. Yes this is possible but it is also one of the most confusing setups to do because of its sheer complexity and the fact computers normally do not support 2 sound cards at the same time. So the information you are looking for is in the following link;
    https://support.native-instruments.c...cles/209590369

    If setup properly each CDJ will act as a HID device and as an individual sound card so you will have to run set of RCAs from the CDJs to the Mixer.
