    Default Gain Staging In Your DAW

    This is a little known tip the pros know and is often over looked by music makers in their DAW. Most people, myself included at one point , are mixing down their tracks at levels that are too hot.

    Gain Staging is about setting gain levels, not listening levels.
    If you know how a trim knob works on a DJ mixer, then you already get it. Here's a post about how to do the same in your DAW.

    Can't count how many projects I have seen where the signal going into the mixer is way too hot and has no room already.
