Default Questions about needles and cartridges

I think it might be time for a sticky that deals with needles and cartridges.

I spent the better part of a hour trying to track down a non generic model for the old stanton 500 series.

    What do you guys think?

in the meanwhile give me the links you have used to search out needles and cartridges:

I miss the 505-skII . It was my favorite scratch cartridge. They tracked like a dream, but were cheap enough to replace stylii that the needle wear wasn't an issue.

I never played on the 505s. It's cheaper to get replacements for my Shure 35c than a good replacement for the Stanton 500. I have an ortofon concorde laying around also. Plus a rs500dj stanton and a shure m25. Plus 3 of the stanton 500.

    I also have a pickering vx15

THey used to be $10 for stylii replacements at guitar center before stanton stopped making em. Thing was a workhorse. I also had both the 500 craze editions and 505 craze editions too.

I dig the s35c as an all around cartridge.
