i see this video and now i would do this whit my apc40 MKII.

I have never made anything that complex on my MKI APC40 but I assume they always put together the backing track in arrangement view and then highlight the phrases and select consolidate to new scene. Then using follow rules they can program the backing track to play in a certain order. After all that they can insert their one shots in other slots on the session view.
