Hi guys, first time posting on the forum. Have been reading a lot of useful posts so far and started my first mapping for the Akai LPD8. I am not familiar with all the terminology so I will try to explain my question as best as I can; please bare with me.
How can I map an FX in single mode to a knob on my Akai to increase the individual effect amounts starting from a predetermined value? I am using Traktor Pro.
I've successfully mapped one button buildups with FX in group mode like so:
Add in > FX Unit > FX Unit Mode Selector / type-button / mode-direct / value-Group
Add in > FX Unit > Effect Selector / type-button / mode-direct / value-Beatmasher 2
Add in > FX Unit > DryWet / type-button / mode-direct / value-1.000
Add in > FX Unit > Knob 1 / type-button / mode-direct / value-0.650
Add in > FX Unit > Knob 1 / type-button / mode-inc / auto repeat / res fine
Add in > FX Unit > Button 1 / type-button / mode-hold
Now I am bit stuck when I try to map something similar using a knob on my controller. I've tried:
Add in > FX Unit > FX Unit Mode Selector / type-button / mode-direct / value-Single
Add in > FX Unit > Effect Selector / type-button / mode-direct / value-Ramp Delay
Add in > FX Unit > DryWet / type-button / mode-direct / value-0.500
Add in > FX Unit > Unit On / type-button / mode-hold
Add in > FX Unit > Knob 1 / type-button / mode-direct / value-0.650
Add in > FX Unit > Knob 1 / type-fader-knob / mode-direct
In this example I want to control the filter but only increase from 0.500 to 1000 and to never go below.
What are your thoughts?
