Default Down sizing a MF Twister?

    Hey guys,

I've been thinking about this project for a while now; I'd like my Mf twister to be smaller...
Basically, I'd like less space between the encoders. Is there any way I could unsolder them and reassemble them in a new case, but keeping the MFtwister utility? How could I achieve it without the board?

    Please make my day

It would be extremely difficult. The encoders only do sensing of rotation and press. they don't include the lights. In the Twister the lights are on the PCB and driven by a large number of IO expansion chips, as are the encoders. If you wanted to preserve functionality, you'd need to design and fabricate your own PCBs. If you don't care about the lights, you could probably get away with deadbug style construction, and maybe eliminate the IO chips by making a charlieplex network out of diodes.

The Twister firmware and schematics are available at https://github.com/DJ-TechTools/Midi...er_Open_Source
