Default Is it culturally appropriate for a white producer to use ethnic samples?

    Sooo....

I'm working on a song and I've got a sample of indian chanting from a free sample pack provided by the ableton website that goes really really well with the tune but it got me thinking:

is it culturally appropriate to use such samples (singing or foreign instruments) even though I'm white?

    thanks for the help/opinions!

No, you can only use white people samples until you level up.

    (I am kidding of course)

    Of course it's okay.

You should call the Indian embassy to clear the samples.

    It's totally fine

Well you're going to have to get e genealogy report. They can be expensive. You may find that there is some Indian in you from way way back. But if not, then no you may not use those samples.
Unless of course you have prayed to Vishnu and cleared the samples through his lawyer. Shiva and Shakti must agree too.
