    Default MIDI to Keypad input?

Hiya. I'm pretty new to the world of DJ controllers, and before I make any kind of purchase, I had a question I couldn't manage to find an answer to by searching (I am pretty inept at research so my bad if the information I'm looking for is common knowledge).

Is it possible to use a DJ controller (MIDI Fighter 3D for example) to map regular keyboard inputs? If so, what kind of software is required and are there any other prerequisites?

I am! I found that mouse click programming is the most useful and it solved the most of Traktor's Controller Manager limitations. This allow me to select all modifiers and it's values (states) with a button! It's amazing! Also I can now assign FX Units and Decks easily with a dedicated button on my X1 as well. Delete, Import, Export, Duplicate, Delete, Loop Rec Source - all midi mappable.

Recently I figured how to add a specific order and number of commands with a twist of the knob For example you can map a mouse click + position to each value of the MIDI velocity which gives you 127 actions in the sequence - so far I mapped one knob to resize my Preferences window to the same position and size every time I need to... Other knob adds entire group of effect commands that I use for FX superknob design or add all transport controls with a dedicated knob for each deck. It's science fiction

Also very useful with the Photoshop and the Premier. This program rocks!
