Default The Rane MP2015 I just bought Made in China?

B-stock unit. Had all the original stock photos, including Made in the USA on the back of one. Advertisement said Made in the USA. I get it just now from FedEx... the knobs are not all centered at 12 o'clock on some of the mountings and some wobble slightly asymmetrically as they are rotated. They are not loose, though. The rear does not say Made in the USA, and there's some comments about China on the underside. A lot of money to spend on something from InMusic/Numark. I'm worried they might have even changed the parts used.

    UPDATE:

Looks like it's as good as it's going to get on the knobs that I can yank off. Not a big deal.

And my mixer was not assembled in Taiwan. Hand assembled in Washington state as part of the last lot out of that office prior to the InMusic sale. I'll pass on any additional information I can get. Thanks, guys.

BTW, are the original knobs surrounded by rubber? These are just plastic.

Please bring it with you tonight. Id love to take a look. Holy crap tho. I figured they were all made in the US. Total shit if they moved it to China.

One of the things that made me happiest about my DB2 was the printing that says Made in UK, so I can understand your frustration.

You can see some of the knobs on this not being strait up. Maybe that's normal.

This could have come from the Chinese market, hence the safety sticker? It could also explain the lack of "made in USA" on the back panel.

Except they haven't manufactured any new units since the purchase. New product will come from China.

I wonder if losing the Made in the USA logo on the back was stipulated for legal reasons if certain parts were not of US origin, even if it was assembled here:

    https://www.ftc.gov/tips-advice/busi...ng/made-in-usa

Also, more review of stock photos tells me these are the same knobs, not different ones. Metal top caps, plastic sides that almost look like anodized steel up close or rubber sides from afar.

    Made in Washington.jpg

Bingo. I just had another look at the underside. I think that's it, unless there's some way of divining something else from this language. InMusic may have been forcing Rane to simply comply better with FTC rules on labeling. Or Rane just did it on their own. You can say "engineered in the USA" and it's still actually built or assembled elsewhere, but I don't think you can say "manufactured is so and so" unless you qualify that it's built there with some foreign significant parts... someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Default This posting is not accurate

I've been alerted to this posting. The MP2015 is not shipping yet from InMusic. I am one of the people involved in the process and I would know. We are using almost 100% of the same exact parts as originally engineered and specified. The Seattle team of engineers has work closely with the manufacturing team to be sure certain protocols are followed. Whatever this post is seems like either a bogus post, sorry but we DO NOT manufacture this unit in China, or something else. We expect the MP2015 to be available again in the next 60 days. Every unit is being hand made and is going through rigorous testing as I write this. RANE has some amazing new things coming as well. If the original poster would like to contact me directly I would love to get to the bottom of this not produced by inMusic situation.
