Default Pioneer DDJ-SR Traktor Mapping. Level LEDS

    Hi,

I am new to this forum business and not sure where this should be posted.

I have got a DDJ SR and have managed to map the LED channel for each deck when the switch is toggled to CH1/2 but i can not make the LEDs work for the master volume when the switch is toggled to MASTER.

Anyone out there be able to help me figure this out? I have been trying modifiers but nothing.

    Thanks in advance.

    Tom

Hi Tom and welcome to Forums

One toggle type modifier button mapping should do the trick. Did you put together something along this lines?

    Modifier 1 / ModCondition M1=0 / Type=button / Mode=direct / Value=1
    Modifier 1 / ModCondition M1=1 / Type=button / Mode=direct / Value=0
Both should be mapped to a same button.

    Hi Stewe,

Thanks for the reply. I am out at the moment but will try it when I'm home.

The 4 I currently have set are out functions, one for each channel, mapped to the led light. They are then post level mixer functions.

Do I need to add a condition on these for the modifier button?

    Thanks
    Tom

That's correct. If you use Modifier 1 just like in my example than your commands should be assigned with a condition as following:

    Channel VU Meter LED (M1=0)
    Master VU Meter LED (M1=1)

Also you can experiment with mapping the M1=0 to your EQ's and Line Faders and your Master Volume Knob to M1=1. So this way you don't need a button because the VU-meter output will automatically snap to Channel or Master Output when ever you turn some of those knobs.

    Default Struggling

    Hi,

I have the 4 individual decks working fine but can't upload a picture for some reason, just keep getting an error. (Its a JPEG)
I have tried the modifier but no joy. I did notice on the MIDI notes from pioneer this is a 0-127 button/slide switch. Do i need a different modifier to your example?

    Thanks again.

    Default Update

Ok, little update, i have had a play with a modifier and managed to get it to do the following:

Slide the switch to master nothing happens.
Slide it back to ch1/2 and i get the master level
    slide back to master nothing
slide back to ch 1/2 and it goes back to individual chanel VU meters.

The master one only lights up when the sliders are up, where as the deck VU's light up when the sliders are down too. Which is what i want the master to do.

Im sorry for all the posts and if they are simple, this is all new to me.

    Thanks again
    Tom

Ok UPDATE: used the invert option on one of the modifiers so when i flick the switch it goes either 0 or 1.
However when it is at 0 it doesn't make the master level come through the LED even though all 4 channels are mapped to the led's?

The 4 individual channels still work..

    What am i doing wrong?...

Sadly I can not somehow magically take a look in to your Controller Manager to see how you set those modifiers

Can you post each individual line of the mapping or maybe attach your current mapping in the reply?

    Hi,

The mapping is not originally mine. But i have added the last bits to get the LED's working.

    Thank you.

I tweaked the mapping - problem seems to be with modifiers, let me know what you find because I don't pack SR to test new behavior.

    PIONEER DDJ-SRv2 (stewe edit 1.0).zip

    Hopefully it's good
