Default cheap boxes / crates that fit Kallax / Expedit for vinyl

I don't think I need to explain Kallax / Expedit on here...

what I'm after is a box that can fit vinyl in and sit on the shelving.

the box is to be used to pick vinyl to play in a set and to enable the vinyl take up less space when playing them. currently I have 2 piles in my small room.
a box would allow a smaller footprint and be more efficient in organizing what I'm playing and when I clear my bed I can just put it on the shelf with the last lot played. it saves the "tracklist" and I know that other records get played next time.

would this be strong enough for vinyl?
    anyone use them?

is there a stronger solution if needed?

It really depends ont he material and bonding. Ive seen many plexiglass cases/boxes break from the weight.

    Use these:

    http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/products/s...-art-30219281/

They're made from material with a cardboard/hardboard base. They come flat packed, and you open 'em up, and zip the bottom closed to keep its shape.

    PERFECT for records.

That box is no good, flimsy paper will break under the weight of the records if you lift it by the handles. IKEA does offer robust plastic/bamboo models of boxes that fit in the Kallax/Expedit spaces, just go there and select the one that fits your budget. I would go for the Lekman model. If you worried about how flimsy they are connected, just use a glue gun and strenghten the connections.

I use the Drona. Works perfectly - but you do need to lift it from the bottom if it's full.

You can get a plastic version for the Kallax. My wife uses them to store her art prints ready to sell. You might just have to make sure they're not overfilled.
