Default Question, Will it be best to fix or buy a new turntable base on the issue.

I'm having two issue with my stanton str8-150. #1- the unit seem to have loss some torque power at start up. #2- I'm not getting any audio or signal on DVS mode unless I bring the noise sensitivity all the way up on the software, in this case "Serato DJ". Only then I can see the wave form on the software move as it should. I have a second turntable and pretty much I had make sure that both unit are set up the same way. The unit was working until I removed the headshell from the Tonearm. Once I re-attached the headshell to the Tonearm it stop sending signal. I did use the working turntable headshell and swapped them around and the good unit continues to work but the bad unit continue to be bad. Some help please.
