    I disagree and think it's a lot cheaper than it was to do that kind of thing not long ago, but....

    Maschine and Push 2 are kind of top of the line in what they do and overkill for what you're describing.

    Live Intro bundled with one of several pad controllers is more like the price of an F1 and significantly more powerful than what traktor offers for "just launching samples".

    The good thing is that there are a lot of ways to do what we're talking about. And people all have their favorite ways and loyalties and workflows. I just see Traktor's attempts in this area as haphazard and half finished.

    I’m torn in this argument, because, I actually DO agree with Mostapha here.

    But, the very limitations of the F1 and Remix Decks are what makes ‘em so usable. If I fired up Live to make a simple Phrase Sampler/Sample Player, it would turn into something else.

    Sometimes, limitations are good.

    I'm a Traktor user but i'd probably go with Serato if i had the chance now
