Default Problem with HD-25 with pioneer mixers

    Hey guys,

I know this may sound dumb, but I've been playing for a few years, mostly at my place with a controller, and in the last 3 times i DJ'd with Pioneer mixer and my HD-25 i get one music per side of the headphone. Also, the mixing knob is onyl working when i push it to the maximum and i can only hear the master out in a really low volume. I tried using the switcher between split mono and stereo, using the master CUE but they still weren't working. Can someone please enlighten me?

    Thanks!

    Default me too!

oh, man! i thought it was just me, and/or i was just tripping. yes, this happens to me _sometimes_ when i'm on my djm800, n' of course only once i'm well into a gig n' can't like be diagnosing what's up. like, i've fiddled with that whole split/stereo switch, n' that's not it. i started thinking that i need to get a new mixer, but then the problem doesn't always happen, so...

If you are using a 3,5mm->1/4" adapter then it's no wonder.

If the master knob isn't set to unity, the master cue will be lower than the cue volume. If this is the issue, utilize gain to bring the master up to unity without sending too much signal out of the mixer. A lot of people don't realize that there is a master attenuation switch on the back so they are left with a hot signal coming into the PA mixer.

If the master level is low, the master level in the headphones will also be low...so you can use the Cue/Master pot to find a balance to suit.

And as the bastet said, there is a master attenuator on the back that you can use to lower the actual master output level leaving the mixer allowing you to turn up the master volume knob on the mixer.

When I've had this type of issue like at the start of a night when the volume generally is lower, or in a bar when the volume isn't that high anyway, i've used cued the two channels, rather than cue one channel and cue the master
