    Default Memory Cue Placement

Now that I am going with Pioneer I figured it was time to up my game using memory cues.
Funny enough is that the XDJ-RX2 only shows a bar countdown to the next memory cue (which to me seems super useful for dropping in the next track or other samples.). When I look up other people's workflow for setting them most people are setting them on the first beat while I seem to be the odd duck setting the first one on the first major change and last one on the last beat or where the outro begins.

Then again I mix Trance music where I have time to do longer mix ins

how do you guys set up your memory cues?

I use white cue color for the 1st beat of every 32 bars before the drop. I use blue for the beat 16 bars before the drop. I use red for the first beat of every 32 bars in each intermission. I use yellow for cue points that are utilized for finger drumming. I use purple/pink for cue set for any specific purpose pertaining to a track or mix.

This I didn't know you could change colors of memory cues... also your way of it is pretty awesome. I don't know if it would work with psytrance though since they tend to be sometimes all over the place with 2 drops. XD

You can set cue colors in both Serato and Rekordbox.
