welp, blinded by the price of a used xone db2, i pretty much rushed over to his house the second i found it locally. i pretty much had my heart set on taking this mixer home before seeing it. admittedly, i didnt touch ALL the buttons but the guy who sold it to me did and i watched them all light up and it seemed okay. there was a hiss coming out of one of the speakers, he claimed was a 'ground loop issue' i didnt think anything of it. So I took it home for $400. After a couple days of mixing, the hiss is still in one of the outputs, the buttons work if you push down hard enough and it might take a few tries, and im having soundcard issues. Im trying to record a mix with audacity and its only recording for about 4 seconds on only 1 deck (ive tried new cables and usb ports with same issue). so get it out of your system first and foremost. I AM A SCRUB FOR THIS. Now that thats out of the way, 1. is this worth fixing? 2. if yes, I'm pretty lost on how to find someone that CAN repair it. I can't help to think a brand new mixer is going to be cheaper in the long run. I still have my old djm600 i wanted to flip to fix the db2 but its looking like i should keep it around on the off chance i need a gig mixer. tips? advice? childish name calling?
