Default Kontrol S5 now on sale...new NI gear must be coming soon

    Spotted this https://www.gear4music.com/PA-DJ-and...ail-new-180814

'while stocks last' means there won't be anymore...and when NI kit is discounted, it normally means new stuff is incoming
    Traktor Scratch Pro 2.7, MBP 13", iPad 2 & TouchOSC, Reloop NEON, Pioneer DJM750mk2, Mackie d.2, Pioneer CDJ800 x2, Technics SL1210MK2 x2, NI Audio 6 DJ, Dicers,

The S5 and D2 were discontinued in April, so I'm surprised they still have stock. But the S8 and Z2 have been on sale since early July as well, which is indeed a strong indicator that stuff is coming in September.

Isn't everything NI DJ currently discontinued? Last I spoke with ZZounds on the phone, the S8, audio 6's and the Z2's they have in stock are the last of what they're getting.

Yes.... One of those items is singular.

As far as I know, the S8, Z2, and A6 are still current. Haven't heard any different from NI UK.

Let me know. Currently looks like US retailers are pullin em. Called the local GC Pro rep out of curiosity earlier. They are dropping them too. Maybe it's just due to low demand?

Just FYI, NI already publically stated there's new hardware coming this year...

    https://djworx.com/ni-breaks-cover-t...re-of-traktor/

“In 2018 with over 500,000 users and some of the world’s best DJs behind Traktor, we are in a unique position to integrate feedback from artists and our community.

The digital DJ market is fast moving and increasingly cluttered with competition. At Native we are passionate about leading genuine change and taking our time to ensure we blend quality, innovation and user functionality.

In 2018 we will unveil new Traktor hardware and software that we believe achieves this goal, and further empowers our global community of professionals and hobbyists. We have prioritized user feedback and collaboration for product development.

We have engaged in rewriting Traktor from ground-up, even though this takes significant time and resource investment. We will maintain and improve Traktor Pro for several more years until the new Traktor is mature enough, also for our Pro users. There are more updates to Traktor Pro planned in the coming months.

To ensure focus to both development streams, we also doubled the size of our Traktor teams. We will be shedding more light on these exciting new Traktor projects over the next few months.

We continue to work with the world’s best artists to learn from and inspire new ideas in the Traktor ecosystem. More insight on how today’s leading artists are using Traktor can be seen in our new Signatures series campaign.”

Yeah, we all saw the teaser both on here and DJworx (as well as the recent teaser from DJWorx instagram). They have technically fulfilled their hardware promise (Xone:96). Im in no rush for new software, as their current software still does more than anything else on the market thanks to its mapability (Don't think that's a real word but whatever).

It is getting awfully close to gear aquisition season, so everyone is biting their nails waiting on announcements from all of the big 3.

I'm not sure you could consider the 96 as "Traktor hardware"... It won't even have the Traktor logo on it!

    I missed this.

I'm almost excited. More than that, I'm glad I got my D2s when I did. They were the last pair my GC ever got, and I bought them on a whim because I happened to be in the neighborhood. I saw the notice they were discontinued within a week or so IIRC. I'm even happier I bought my A10mk2 when I did. It was on sale and discontinued not long after.

I am curious what the next step is going to be, but I'd bet money that it won't integrate with my 2016 well and I won't care.
