    Default Traktor/Serato Setup

    Hey,

I have a gig at the weekend where I will be playing off Traktor but the person before Serato. Just wondering what’s the best way of setting this up? I have DJM800 that I use 3 channels when mixing.

Would I set all my channels to line and the two channels he uses into phono and just switch over? Just unsure the best way to seamless switch.

    Thanks a lot

According to the Pioneer site your mixer has 5 line inputs. You didn't mention how many decks your friend plays from but if it's only two, then in theory you can have both of your interfaces hooked up at the same time. However, in practice it might not work depending on how each of you use the mixer channels. But to be clear, the Serato interface will need access to line inputs and not phono (RIAA).

I'm fairly sure the 5th line input isn't a mix channel.Best compromise and either just use two channels each, or switch over one of them after you start your set.
