    Default History of Dance Music

I know there are tons of video out there that shed light on the history of dance music and it's pioneers. Please post up your videos.

(No DJ sets or music videos please. Only historical stuff)

If you can find it, there's a BBC documentary from the 90s called "Pump up the Volume - A History of House music" that's amazing. It's occasionally available on YouTube, but it gets taken down for copyright infringement all the time.

Which is pretty ironic if you think about it enough.

If you can access the BBC iplayer, there's a really good recent 3 part series on the history of Dance Music called "Can you feel it".
Some nice stuff about early Chicago House & Detroit techno in the first epsiode.

Damm! Just checked. It looks like the 1st part is too old & is no longer available. Have a look at parts 2 & 3 while you can.

Classic documentary spanning the burgeoning hippie culture in India and how the music scene spawned a brand new and unique genre. Might be a bit airy fairy for some but worth a watch nonetheless
