    Default Key Info In iTunes

    Hey DJTT forum,

I'm looking for a way to view key information in iTunes once my tracks have been analysed in Traktor. Is there a way to do this ? ?\_(ツ)_/? ? So far I've looked into iTunes scripts but I cannot find any and I'd rather not splash out on Mixed in Key unless I absolutely have to.

If you're on PC, get this:

    https://djtechtools.com/2013/09/11/t...camelot-scale/

Don't forget to read the comments - there are some useful tips in there (like adding a leading 0 (zero) to the single digit keys).

That will copy your Tag info from Traktors Key Tag, to the Key Text field IN THE MUSIC FILE. It will also change it to Camelot Tags.

Key Text (Traktor Tag) = Initial Key (WIN Explorer/File Tag) (this Tag NOT available in iTunes).

So you'll need a Tag editor (MP3Tag). Create some rules to batch move the KEY Tags from Initial Key to a Tag that iTunes can read (I use the Grouping Tag in iTunes). It's a simple rule. You can read up on rules at the MP3Tag website.

So I've bit the bullet and treated myself to Mixed in Key, I've literally spent hours working out how to get the key and energy to show up in Traktor and iTunes and I finally get why so many people rave on about it.

    Totally worth it.
