I have a few extra turntables at the moment- 8 total be exact.

I bought out a bar that closed down and got 5 1200 MK2s and a GLI TT for $600. I am cleaning the Technics and refurbishing them. A couple pitches need replacing or might be able to be salvaged, they need to be cleaned up, 4 pop up lights are out too and I am going to be replacing all the cables with the high quality monoprice cables I got. I might remove the pitch lick and do an external ground removal mod while I'm at it. I just ordered 12 full conversion LED kits to replace all the lights on the Technics I have along with extra sets for future tables I plan to buy and fix up and sell, plus a set for my black MK5s.

I am swapping parts around so I have 4 good perfectly working pairs and then the 5th might end up being kept just for parts or I could probably refurb it too and sell it, the case has a small dent and I need to buy a bunch of replacement feet but they are like $20 a piece so I'm going to try to just find some more broken technics for cheap. I might do some custom super high quality and well sanded gloss paint jobs too.

It will be a fun projet and I will make at least $1000 off two pairs (I have someone who wants one pair for 900 already when I finish one).

that said, interesting reading what people were buying 1200s for a year or two before they stopped making them

I wonder how many unopened, untouched boxed 1200s there are still sitting in warehouses around the world today

There was a picture put up on the serato forums the other day from a warehouse in japan, still had pallets full of mk2's m3d's and m5g's unopened.
