Assistance requested

Can anyone help a beginner out. I have just gotten a new laptop and upgraded to traktor pro. I have never used a usb midi controller and I have just inhertited a Numark Mixmeister controller. I am having no luck mapping this and traktor tech support snubbedbed me when I asked for a .tsi file as if i did not feel stupid enough not being able to figuire it out. Is there anyone that can explain in lamens terms how to set up a mapping from scratch or point me in right direction to a .tsi file. My budget is limited so I need to try and make this thing work. thanks in advance for any help you can lend!

I have a tsi for the Mixmeister Control....

Its got 4 deck control with mappings for EQ, FX, Looping, and Browsing

It took me a while to build but I think I'd like some feedback. The only reason I found your post was because I did a general search for Mixmeister on all forums to see if anyone else was using this (IMO) cool rotary controller.

I've even mapped EQ kills, Layout switching and the jog wheel works too!

You can register at Traktor Freaks and upload and share your tsi and download others.
Its a great resource and will be made even better if everyone gets involved.

i'm curious as to what traktor support said to you when you asked for a .tsi

They may have said that as the Numark is not Traktor Ready they do not have a TSI to give out.

Hardware manufacturers apply for Traktor Ready status and then NI create a native TSI.

As the Numark is bundled with Mixmiester so Numark wont have applied for Traktor Ready status.

Its a bit like the Xone DX being an Itch controller. NI havent made a TSI for it and they wont.

Then again they could have just said "NO BYE" ..!:eek:
