Default korg nano controller w/ ableton

So I got my babies a few days ago (launch pad and korg nano controller)

I got the launch pad up and running with basic functions.

However, my korg controller (even through copious hours trying to figure it out) doesnt seem to work with ableton live.

I am running windows 7, with ableton 8.1.1

Can anyone please help me on this matter, any advice would be amazing seeing as i'm a total amateur when it comes to mappings etc with controllers.
    thanks.

have you checked your pad values with the korg kontrol editor?

my nano works fine w. traktor, i dont see why it wouldnt work with ableton as its still just midi.

have you tried unhooking the launch and just testing the nano? ide hope so

Test different USB ports and cables. Check the unit has power, if it's still not working return it the unit is probably faulty.

cornelius, try changing scenes on the nanoKontrol as that changes channels. Also have you checked inside Live that it's set to receive the nanoKontrol?

this is the solution i would bet, it's an issue of windows having a limit of how many midi devices you have connected to the device at one time or another...I think its 10 or something, after that, it looks like the nanokontrol drivers installed and everything working, when nothing works like described above,

    good luck.

have you tried going to the KORG website... download

    drivers
    Korg editor
    Control surface files for ableton...

I think thats your problem, you need the control surface.. there will be a read me inside the zip on how to install!
