    Question Traktor APC-40 (modifiers+trackselection)

    Hello greetings from digitaldj land using traktor-pro and an APc-40
    (my mapping is like 94% complete am working on it for like 7 months now LOL )

    -but i'm still looking for some functions ...

    -1st wanna tell you i'm aware of the dumb mode etc...

    so the questions goes like:

    1MODIFIERZzzzERS

    -i'm using some buttons for loop functions.
    but some of the functions added to loopbuttons already got like 2 modifiers (send monitor state & outfunctions for leds), since i use the same buttons for a different deck i need a third modifier
    -I already use 1 modifier for making those buttons to work on another deck (with the same loop functions)
    but i also have a modifier(/shiftbutton) to make those buttons split the looplength
    as for 1 beat = also 1/16; 2beats=1/8 etc 4beats=1/4 8beats=1/2

    -this works for 1 deck but when using the same buttons for another deck
    some of the functions already got 2 modifiers so i can't apply the function of the splitted loopbeats on the 2nd deck

    IS THERE MAYBE A WAY AROUND like using another modifier ???

    2
    TRACKSELECTION

    -i'm not at the level of using bomes yet
    normal mode makes em banks
    DUmb mode makes em midicc's, and kills the led functions for knobs

    -wish i could use normal mode with the midicc's instead of banks
    is there a way around for this one 2
    ( did maybe any1 or is any1 capable of programming a little app to enable the dumb mode instead of opening ableton etc... or something that could only convert the track selection buttons to cc's instead of banks for normal mode?)

    if you know more about the trackselection stuff or maybe a good thread here can u foward me to it please ( thnx in advance )

    3 LEdz updater
    something else, was is there a way that when opening traktor and using the apc the leds can be auto-turned on or autoupdated ? for now i'm using a button to turn all my leds on , but some parameters from like on the mixer part using the knobs for EQ when using the knobs on the apc u always have to turn em before the are on

    ex: when bass = at 3 o'clock on traktor but when turning on the apc the knob for bass is at 7 o'clock is there a way that i can update the leds to be at the same thing when i turn it on ???

    Weird questions i'm sure many or some people are also curious for this stuff hope we can all help eachother out ^^

    so i finally posted this one

    thnx in advance sincerly yann

    With the send modifier state button it should be updating I think (at least on a Mac).

    What about utilizing a deck Focus + using your modifiers somehow for looping.

    I know for track loading the way I had it set up was

    up/down is track select
    Right = Preview play/pause
    Left = Preview Unload
    Shift + up down left / right was folder / playlist browse.
    Activatior was my load

    Endoder Setup
    Scroll/scratch Cue mode = Pause + Focus + Not Playing
    Focus Select = Headphone Cue (Most of the deck function's i'd be using on the deck I'm mixing from)
    Pitch bend = Playing+Deck Focused
    Transpose = Playing+Shift+Focus

    Headphone Volume I could live with on a keyboard key.

    I set up Midistroke (free) to assign additional keystrokes for functions (of ons) combined along with midi and for some functions... I know theres something like it for PC as well.

    Hope it gives you some inpiration .. I'd post it up but my APC seems to be one of the first ones produced and has different values for pretty much everything (pain in the ass trying to load anyone else's templates!).

    I'm sure the more into it guys will help ya out

    I had the activator light up when a track was loaded (or playing) .. I haven't fired it up in a while LOL.

    I "think" there was 5 commands to get it working. Pretty sure I was using a combo of midistroke for these keys....

    Activator Off : Pressed = Track load+ Monitor State + LED
    Activator On : Pressed = Track unload + Track load + LED off (dont think I used monitor state here:-S
    Track Playing Activator LED turned back on.

    Pretty sure I needed to Inverse map the same keys for each command - I know it was a pain in the rear end to get those keys working properly the way I wanted.

    I lost the compete template a month or so ago when I was "cleaning" .. managed to find a half complete map on my drive but was a midway save without alot of the LED's mapped yet so just trying to remember how I went about it.

    I'm pretty sure I was only using one send monitor state on the activator / cue / rec keys though for some reason :-S

    Sorry cant be more help to you might play around with it in a lil bit when i get some shuteye, its been a while since I fired up Traktor with the APC :P
