Nope. You can have decks 1 + 3 share a channel and 2 + 4 share a channel. It would be nicer to have an additional channel to route decks 3 + 4 through instead though.
Some mixers allow you to use the mic channel as an additional line in, keep an eye out for those if you don't want to combine channels.

yeah i route my sample deck 3 to my fx channel on the mixer. sweeet!
i just dont wanna confuse myself with sharing the channels. .hehe
do anyone know any good mapping for the x1 to go with the tsp2 .. ive d/l a couple but not sure it suits me
Depends what you want to do. Personally I think the one it comes with it pretty damn good.

I remapped the Sample decks and loop recorder to midi mode on my X1 in a very similar way to the bundled map.

What they said. If you want to cue the sample deck while two decks are playing you'll want a four channel though.
Yeah it's a new feature. And you don't need a 4 channel, a 3 channel would do the job though they are fairly uncommon.
