    Default Skrillex: The Breakdown

Ok so I started making music because of this guy im not going to lie, His music is so inspiring to me and motivational, and I know he is not a Dj and everyone bags on him for using the trigger finger to sample his songs, and not perform a live "DJ Session" which he does NOT say he is.

Anywayz, i want to know how to make music that sounds similar to him, because i dont want my music to sound just "dusbtep" or just "electronica" or etc, because his songs have a very dancy type of feel.

Any information about this guy is valuable, and If anyone thinks they have his type of "style" then please, post your soundcloud, and let me hear!

Well thats really great he inspires you!

But.... Please do not copy his sound. We have enough of that. If you want to get recognized as a musician you need to create your own sound. Make the music your OWN!

BTW This thread might not go how you think it's going to.

Totally agree with this.... just going to leave my comment and unsubscribe

There are tons of youtube videos on how to sound like skrillex, on any synth

just search on youtube any of the following or combination:
    skrillex synth tutorial
    skrillex massive tutorial
    skrillex sylenth1 tutorial
    skrillex bass tutorial
    skrillex wobble tutorial

and just like gindu said, if you wanna be known have your own sound. Can't become famous for something already invented.

But on a lighter note this lady tried to. She 'reinvented' calculus, and thought it was the biggest breakthrough ever.

Hell, I've even got some operator instrument racks that do it perfectly if you don't want to use VSTs.

ok well im not trying to recreate his music and become famous, im just saying his style or "genre" (which he doesnt really have) is what i Like a lot. Its not straight dubstep, or straight EDM, or etc you know?

and by the way, im not trying to have anyone bag on me, im just trying to make music, but his style is amazing, what do you guys consider his "genre" anywayz to be?

Skrillex is a very talented guy when it comes to production,

but yeah too many people try to duplicate his style.
