How to connect multiple speakers to my mixer?

in my mixer i have only 2 holes, one red and white. this is the master output. now supposedly i use one speaker with the rca cables, then i will only be able to connect this one speaker, where to connect the other speakers? even if i use a trs or any other cable pls tell me where to connect them! Any replies will be appreciated!

You'll need to provide more info

• Are they powered speakers or do you need to use an amplifier.
• If they are powered each speaker takes one of the red or white RCA - RCA or TRS unless the set has a stereo amp in one speaker at which stage there should be a dedicated speaker out to connect the second speaker of the pair.
• Most PA Powered speakers provide a daisy chain option (one input one output) to link multiple powered speakers.
• Most PA Amps also have a daisy chain option to link signal to multiple amps.

When in doubt - rtfm (most answers lie in there).

If your mixer only has 1 RCA output you might want to use a pre-amp with the exception the speakers are selfpowered. In that case you might want to buy a new mixer with XLR outputs. I'm guessing they are not selfpowered. If they were, I doubt we would be having this discussion about RCA cables. If the speakers only have one Left or one Right RCA conection per speaker. The speakers are an old antiquated speaker and your still going to need a pre-amp. In that case you're better off buying new speakers and pre-amp to push them with. Come on guys this is simple stuff.

I wasn't insinuating that, only self powered speakers would work... I use a Pair of Polk Audio tower speakers with an Onkyo "Amp" and plain Jane speaker wire. I was insinuating that if the speakers themselves have
(One RCA Jack per speaker Not a paired connection, Meaning one Red one White)
They're more then likely an older speaker, as most Audio companies quit doing this in the 80's. Most companies like Sony, RCA, Pioneer, Kenwood etc. Companies that are still doing home audio, Opted for this traditional copper gauged wire. One positive, One negative I believe Cerwin Vega and Couple others used this one jack design. The guy is talking about. This was Back when the company was trying to break into home audio department. Cerwin Vega tried to market this as a feature an innovation over, competition from other bigger home audio companies of the day. All these one jack speakers sounded like shit, Regardless of size. All those speakers had this fuzzy Mid to Hi range sound with absolutely no bass depth. A lot of these companies didn't even survive, This is probably why Cerwin Vega doesn't do much home stereo now. Back in the early to mid 80's There was a huge boom in home stereo sales. It was probably due to the recent invention of cassette tape, VHS and The betamax. an idea that almost ended Sony. Everyone was buying a home stereo. The only issue people didn't know how to hook this shit up. You have to think, this was way before department stores hired companies or contractors to hook this stuff up for the customers. Did you ever see the movie Beatles Juice, when Alec Baldwin is reading the book for the recently decease. He says "This book reads like stereo instruction" This was a big turn off for a lot of consumers at the time. I doubt you will even find anything on the internet about this. I just spent 30 minutes looking for an example, this is how awful and odd ball this design was.

My habit of saying pre-amp stems from the fact the Onkyo I use is a combined unit which by definition is also a pre-amp, I'm so sorry force of habit! I know i came off as a prick, that is how, I intended to sound. I have a thing with people wanting to DJ and not knowing their way around gear or sound. Especially with such a huge source of readily available information. We call it the internet, I'm sure you've heard. All though, there may not be such a thing as a stupid question. Which i don't consider the guys question to be. I do believe however that there is an over abundance of lazy minded people that want to become "Super star DJs" The thing is I've played a lot of shows and been to even more. Enough shows to say with the upmost confidence. If you want to DJ, not just dance around on stage like a fake ass pretending to DJ. This is stuff people really need to learn. Look at David Guetta that douche bag ass hat obviously hasn't learned how to power on a CDJ (You can find that on YouTube) One day its going catch up with him. I pray nightly it does. The truth is when gear breaks down as it always has and always will. You need to know how to fix things on the spot, that is what separate the real DJs from all the tourist who came to this culture seeking popularity.
