    Default 2010 macbook pro overheating with logic big time

    every time i run logic. or a film. or youtube. flash heavy.

    fans kick up a fuss.

    sometimes overheat with nothing running

    something wrong with macbook?

    A LOT of issues on the Mac are caused by Flash. This might have to do with why you are having issues watching films and some YouTube videos.

    I've had similar problems with dust collecting inside the body causing the fan to constantly run due to wrong temperature sensor readings -- using some condensed air to spray it out usually helped.

    And yes, Flash is terrible concerning CPU load.

    Clean out the dust and/or get a stand. I have a griffin stand thing that just provides airflow under it that I use when I'm at my desk. It helps a good bit.
