    Default Battery Powered Units

    Hi Guys,

Quick question. I have a cottage that I like to spend time at, but I have no electricity. I am wondering what would be a good sequencer/synth to mess around on while I am up there. I've been looking at the MicroKorg, but it doesn't have a sequencer on it.

So, my question to you guys - what's a really cool, affordable synth/sequencer, with some sort of local storage (flash, floppy drive?, internal storage?) that I can mess around with via battery power, and then bring it home and copy everything to my computer for use?

    Thanks!
    Matt

Yamaha's QY series is battery powered sequencer/drum machines. Not sure of more modern devices that have included that feature.

    TB-303 ?

... I'm sure you'll pick one up cheap as they have been discontinued for ages, who'd want one of those things

A lil suitcase generator might be a good buy ? hehe.

how about an iPad? or just a laptop whit long battery life many of the newer models can be on standby for days and have a battery life up to around 10 hours and I dougbt you'll fine any synth with sequenser running that long on battery.

Wire it into a car battery
There are portable battery packs for electronics, not sure how much power they output, but might be enough. The company/product is called "eliminator"
