    Default USB Numpad as help-deck

I am in the process of buying and mapping a USB numpad as a help deck to complement my one Denon DN - SC 2000 and have stumbled upon an issue. How do I map it so that it uses the opposite deck of the one I have my Denon focused on?
I am asking that because I don't whant to use the numpad as my main second deck, I use the two-deck functionality of my Denon for that. However, there are times when I am doing a rather complex action which requires a second Play/Cue/Loop/Whatever button. What I want is for the numpad to automatically change the deck it is focused on to the one that I am cueing - going to air. Is it possible?

What do the "Deck Focus" options on Traktor Pro 2's mapping section do?

    Thanks!

I'm not sure this is possible. I don't think there is anyway to switch focus to the deck that isn't the master. the only commands for deck focus is master, or a specific deck (I think??) I don't think the invert toggle would work either as that only applies to the actual command (cue, play etc). Anybody else got any ideas?

Yes, if you're asking for what I think you're asking for, it can be done, but you'll have to use the numpad to switch between deck focus, because modifiers don't work between controllers.

I'm assuming all of your controls on the Denon are set for Deck focus already, so it doesn't matter which controller sets the deck focus. What you'd do is set up a button on the numpad to switch deck focus, and on the same button, also set up a modifier toggle on the same button. Then you make two copies of every mapping on the numpad, and set one to deck A, and one to deck B, depending on the modifier state.

Good call, I don't ever have anything set to deck focus or change deck focus like that so have never had to use it!

Yeah I've never used it either, so I'm not entire positive about how it works, but I'm assuming it should work like I said.
