Default Can I use a VCI-400 EG Edition with Virtual DJ Pro?

I am thinking of purchasing a VCI-400 EG Edition for use with Traktor Pro. HOWEVER, I will sometimes do video mixing gigs for which I am thinking of using the VirtualDJ Pro that I already have. The VirtualDJ website says that their plugin works with the VCI-400 that has Vestax's latest firmware.

I of course won't be using both softwares at the same time. Will this cause any conflicts with the controller? Will the EG edition controller work with VirtualDJ Pro?

Thanks! I greatly appreciate the help since this "may" effect my decision on purchasing a VCI-400 EG Edition.

you would need to create a new definition file for the EGE as it sends different midi messages to the standard version. You could simply modify the standard one if you download it from the VDJ Forum, but you will need to hurry to download it as the raw file will be deleted once VDJ7.1 is released next week since it will be built in to the program.

Thank you but I'm a little confused. Which download are you talking about? The only one I see on VDJ is the plugin download under add-ons (http://www.virtualdj.com/addons/1420...x_VCI-400.html). I don't think those get deleted since they are usually submitted by members.

Can you point me in the right direction?

    Thanks!

Thanks for the info, downloaded it! While we're on the topic, any word on VDJ 8?

If not, you should seriously consider Mixxx. I use traktor pro for the most part but mixxx is very nice and very free, and also has great support with midi mapping and such i believe
