Default Any idea what this sound is and how to make it?

    Hey All,

I've got a song nearly ready but just need to add one part!

Dose anyone know what and/or how to make the pulse synth part that first appears at 2.07

its like a response to the main baseline, and its driving me crazy!

appreciate any help, I'm new to this producing malarky and just finding it hard identifying sounds

Gave it another go before I think it's a FM bass patch but I don't know what's giving it the movement!!

I think I can get close to recreating that. there is no automation for it. it's a bass synth
    LFO is way down slow
    wav shape is really wide
and there is a lot of attack on it to produce a sound as if the SWING is set deep.

tomorrow I'll see what I can make during my tutorial classes

shoot me a reminder in a couple days

You can create those rolling basslines with FM (additive) synthesis. You can get close with a subtractive sythesizer and lfo modulating the frequency but FM will get you closer. Cheers.

    Default FM Sythesis

If you mean the deep 'Wub' that happens twice. To me that sounds like Fm synthesis, a perfect plugin to use for this would be EFM1 or FM8. Sounds like a sine wave being modulated by another, and the amount its modulating is being modulated. If that makes sense.
