Default Retina Mac and s4 Mk1

I have a 2009 Macbook and I'm thinking of upgrading.

I use the mac for work as well (Web Development) and thought about a retina one. Not brand new.

Do all the retina ones have an incompatibility with the s4 mk1? I don't really want to upgrade to the mk2 as I plan on getting an s8 next year.

    should work.
i have a late 2013 MBPr works fine with OS X 10.10.1 and TP 2.7.1! I use the old Audio2 MK1 sound card. Also without problems.
