Do you want to run the mic through Traktor for FX/Looping and such?

    Mac or PC?

You have capable hardware to do what you're looking to do but, it may be a bit less intuitive than you've imagined.. Give it a go anyhow, might just need a little getting used to!

Firstly, you'll want to set up your Z1 and Scarlett as one aggregated device. Check out this tutorial for that. Next, set one of your decks as a Live Input Deck. Then go to the Input Routing preferences and choose the Scarlett's input as your deck input. Now Traktor should be getting a signal from your mic.

At this point, I'd have a look at this article regarding Traktor's loop recorder for live input use.

For your specific setup, I'd look into utilizing a 4 deck mapping for the Z1, along with further mapping of loop recorder functions (on the X1, F1, or your computer keyboard). Possibly look into MIDI foot controllers for some handsfree control of the recorder. All depends on how complicated you wanna get and how far you wanna push yourself!

Hope this helps to get you started! Enjoy!
