Actually the rip can be done with a soundcard like a FireBox or any soundcard with rca inputs. Ive done vynil rips on my hercules. You can use a program like audacity to perform the rip, just record the vnyil and then edit the track for deadspace and whoila rip performed.

Ok I have an M audio fastrack pro and I have audcacity as i got it free, could i plug my 1210 into the soundcard and then into the mac and do it like that into audacity?
if it's that easy then i need to get started only got 2500 records to do![]()
yup its that easy, just select your fasttrack as the input in audacity and have at it!

Blimey wish i had known that previously as I would have started the rippage alreadyah well time to get the 1210's out of storage with a selection of ye olde vinyl!
thanks for the info mate very helpful ;-)
don't forget that you need a PHONO IN to plug directly your TT to your soundcard...
If your soundcard don't have it, you'll need something like the Berhinger pp400
to get a line signal from your TT![]()

Or you can run it through your mixer first, and run the mixer into the soundcard. That way you could also do a little EQ work
Yes i might wait until the Xone 4D arrives next week to have a proper mess around
and don't forget to give your vinyls the old brush down before you rip em![]()
