Think i need more knobs...

So at the moment i'm using Traktor with a Numark Mixtrack Pro 2 and have just recently added a Traktor Kontrol F1 and i am really loving it. Mixes are starting to sound good and i'm chuffed with the way things are progressing. However the Mixtrack doesn't have any 'filter' control knobs which is really starting to be a bit of a pain... the thing is other than a filter for each of my track decks i'm perfectly content so i'm not really sure buying a controller with loads of knobs is going to be justifiable in my setup and would probably be complete overkill! Thought about re-mapping the Mixtrack but there aren't really two knobs i can sacrifice in order to have filter control.

Does anyone have any suggestions? What about this TouchOSC for iPhone / iPads, is that worth looking into??

remap the f1 in midi mode!

Or map a modifier/shift command on the numark and extend your knobs virtually.

I would use one of the filter effects in Traktor, that way you can just use one of your effect knobs for the filter.

Yeah i did that for a while but found myself having to change effects on the laptop throughout my sets which was getting a bit irritating.

I've now mapped shift + mid as my filter so i'll see how i go with that.

A colleague in the office actually suggested an Akai controller too, said you can pick them up really cheap and they're ok for the cash? Suppose it would give me a few more options in the future...

My first set up was the Mixtrack Pro 1 and the LPD8 and then I switched to a K2, two X1's and two MF Pro's then down to the K2 and X1's. That's been my set-up for ages now. I did keep the LPD8 around for a while though just to fuck with. It is really fun.
