Help needed... just starting off

Im all new to this... i need help starting off!! I have about a $5,000 budget which i can budge if needed. I need some speakers with a ton of bass and that are loud and powerful as well! I want some cool lighting but i want the lights to "go to the beat of the music". some trusses and other accessories would be cool. what else do i need? I want to have the best stuff for my buck... thanks!!

How many People do you expect it to handle ?
What kind of music ?
Do you intend using a laptop / controller - does the budget include or exclude these ?
What country are you in ? (this may affect availability)
Have you ever DJ'd before ?
