X1mk1 Not Working for OSX 10.10+

Native Instruments still has a problem with their Kontrol X1mk1 and the latest versions of OSX (10.10.5). The main symptom is that upon plugging the X1 in the lights activate indicating power is being received but the X1 immediately becomes unresponsive. Switching to MIDI mode doesn't work and Traktor or any other MIDI capable application cannot detect midi signals.

I've confirmed this by observing the signals coming from both "Traktor Kontrol X1 - 1 MIDI input port 0" and "Traktor Kontrol X1 - 2 MIDI input port 0" using the MIDI Monitor application. (Yes I own two.)

These are the following methodologies I have attempted to correct this error:

Repair disk permissions.
Update all drivers, I mean literally everything NI offers, using the Service Center.
Removed every Native Instruments files according to your documentation.
- I actually wrote a BASH script to do this automatically you can download it here.
Reinstalled X1 drivers using the instructions setup guide.
Removed all files, and then installed the X1 drivers only.

Once doing all of this now Controller Editor is producing the following error.

I have come to the conclusion that the issues others and myself have experienced with the X1 are is a bug resulting in Native Instruments incompatibility with OSX 10.10.

Oh and one interesting observation, when I close the laptop lid and the computer falls asleep some o the lights activate.
