does anybody know if the crossfader is midi mappable on this unit?

they say knobs and buttons are midi... but it says nothing about the crossfader

    I don't think so.

But why do you need a midi x-fader anyway?

i wanted to maybe give a try with the scratchtrack plugin, to record scratches straight in ableton. And the plugin only works with midi mappable xfaders...

I can recommend you the Denon X600. Stock fader is good for scratching (but makes loud clicks against the faceplate), adjustable, midi mappable.

I use the x600 myself, there isn't much on it that isn't midi mappable to be honest and it's an amazing bit of kit
    Live rig: Denon Prime (5000M's)
Retired: Denon x1700, Denon SC3900's, Traktor, Technics SL1200's, my vinyl
Wish list: Some Roland Aira stuff.
