Default Denon DN-X1600 traktor mapping tutorial?

Hello. I just picked up a used dnx1600 and im trying to map it to traktor scratch pro 2 and im way over my head. Is there a super simplified tutorial on this? Currently i get no midi funtion out of the mixer, it used to work and then i messed with some settings and now it doesnt. Its all a bit overwhelming and frustrating to be honest and im just looking for some guidence. Thanks!

You are trying to map what? Just the dedicated midi encoders and buttons on the right side of it?
You don't have to map anything manually, there are several *.tsi maps online that you just import into Traktor.

under Preferences, mixing mode should be External
under Controller Manager, device, you should have In/out ports selected.
Your mixer must be set to a proper midi channel, I hope you haven't changed that in the mixer utility menu

As I said before: what functions are you trying to map that the existing *.tsi mapping files do not cover?
It would be better if you would state what *.tsi have you used (post a link) and what it lacks. There is no X1600 specific mapping tutorial, just Traktor mapping in general. When you tell us those things, I am sure that he Traktor mapping guruus here will chime in with their posts

    What is your setup anyway?

Everything on the mixer with a grey line or sorround can be mapped, including all the eq and faders. You have to hold the utility button and use the encoder to select midi device .

Yea its in USB B mode. I know how to set it up so traktor recognizes it. Its got the latest firmware and the latests 64bit driver. It functions fine as a mixer and i get full DVS control l. What im saying is ive lost midi function so i need to know how to remap it to regain that. Also i can not get the mix recorder to funtion. Ive followed the native instuments guid from their website but still it does not work. Has anyone here actually used the dnx1600 with traktor scratch pro 2?

First you say you have DVS control and then that you followed the guide on how to set up the DVS in TSP2 and that it's not working???

Or did you mean you thought that guide will help you set up midi functions of the mixer? Because...it won't.
